It started with one woman selling shrimp roadside. In 1982, Kathi Bonamici Vidrine — known simply as "the Shrimp Lady" — began selling fresh shrimp on the side of the road in Leesville, Louisiana, with almost nothing but determination. Her brother Billy, and later fisherman William "Bill" Vidrine, joined in, and what began as a shrimp stand grew into the seafood market and restaurant known today as Steamboat Bill's.
That same family recipe is what goes into every can of Steamboat Bill's Cajun Seasoning — the exact blend used in the restaurant's kitchen on North Lake Shore Drive, bottled up so you can bring it home.
